be-YOU-tiful

This blog has been created to reach out to other teenagers. We want you to know that you are not alone in the world. You are beautiful. You mean the world to all of us. You should always remember that. There is no reason to look at yourself in the mirror and be displeased with what you see. There is no reason to change you. You do not need all of the make up, perfume, plastic surgery, and designer clothes. There is no one that should tell you who to be. You are you and you are beautiful.
God created each one of us in his own image. I know at times it's difficult to remember that, but you were created this way for a reason. As teenagers our bodies are not fully developed and neither are our minds. This is the time to shape them into the beautiful and wonderful individuals we were created to be. Just as the Bible says, "Let no one despise you for your youth, but set the believers an example in speech, in conduct, in love, in faith, in purity." (1 Timothy 4:12)
God gave Adam and Eve the opportunity to choose their fate. They choose to disobey God and eat from the tree of knowledge. After this, they became ashamed. They were ashamed because they disobeyed God and because they finally saw their nakedness. They were naked to the truth. God gives us the same fate. He gives us the opportunity to live our lives here on Earth. With His light to guide us we will live happily. God tells us to love others, and to especially love ourselves; "Whoever gets sense loves his own soul;he who keeps understanding will discover good." (Proverbs 19:8)

So we are talking to you, teenagers of the world. This is all for you. We want you to know that you are beautiful the way you are. You should embrace your natural selves and not be ashamed of who you are. God has a special plan in store for you, and someday soon your light will finally be able to shine.

  1. Amanda, I could have not said it better myself! It is important for all of us teenagers to understand that we are all beautiful in our own way; we all matter. It does not matter how big our nose is, or how small our muscles; we are all special. Whenever we look into the mirror, we should smile; never frown. We are who we are, who God made us, and we are all absolutely beautiful. If we love ourselves, we will find happiness within our lives. However, if we fail to do so, we will always have that sadness within us; we will never be truly happy. Like you said, God has a special plan in store for us; hating ourselves is not a part of it.

  2. Amanda! You are absolutely right when saying that God created us in his own image. God created each and every one of us in his image and likeness but wants us to develop into unique individuals as we grow. I could not agree more when you say that it is hard to remember that God created us all special because sometimes we look at ourselves and do not like what we see. But there is NO reason to change. Everyone is special in their own ways and has certain qualities that others may not have, but that is why we all have different qualities so we could each share them with each other. Reading this last blog I realized wow I am special even if sometimes I do not think so I am, and every teenager should feel special no matter what. Nobody should ever degrade you from feeling beautiful and special.

  3. I am so happy you girls agreed with my posting. I truly hope that this blog can be a help to anyone who stumbles upon it. It was created to branch out to others to let them know that they are loved in this world. God loves you and we love you. Things may get tough and at times you may not be completely satisfied with your appearance, but who cares? We only have one life to live and you must live everyday of it to the fullest. You were created to look and act like yourself for a reason. You are unique and this is who God created you to be. He has a special life in store for you. So whenever you doubt yourself either mentally or physically, you need to step and realize that you are beautiful and this is who you are. We love you for that.
